Reopening PR position for manga/manhua/manhwa as well.
Feel free to apply, but know that we are VERY STRICT and the bars are very high for proofreaders.

        Projects with PR vacancy:
        • Bungou Stray Dogs
        • City of Dead Sorcerer
        • Samurai Ragazzi
        • TAL
        • We On

Hey ^-^ I am quite interested in applying to be a proofreader but I was wondering (about novels) how much material is required to be proofread and how often? Thanks.

Depends on series, with Purple River obviously Im releasing it quite frequently, I don't expect any PR to actually be able to keep up with that.

Instead I probably would let them work at their own pace, starting from the already published chapters and work their way up.

It is also possible that multiple pr's will work on the same project.

Is there a way to get the test without any program that runs .rar?

there are many programs that opens compression file like *.rar

                      both for pc, mac etc.

                        Quick question

I'm working on the proofreader test and was wondering how much freedom a proofreader has to change how the original translation says something. Obviously not changing the meaning, but if the translator used an awkward word, so split something into two sentences that flows better in one...would it be okay to use my best judgement?

                        For example:
That year, Kung Fu. Is the original translation. I changed it to this: That year, I encountered Kung Fu.

there is no clear guidelines, you will have to rely on your own judgment.

In order to become a PR, does one have to know both English and the language being translated, or just English?
