It's not a regular carving per-say because I used a bandsaw I believe it was for the dolphins then I was using a phyropen or woodburning to create the numbers.

This looks like a lot of work, so many corners to cut around!
    Amazing!

Now you have cute dolphins all around the clock. XD
(Which is prpbably a bad or no pun in english. In german it means, now you have dolphins around you all the time.)

Such a lovly piece of art.

    My guess would be 40x40.

Well I was going to answer your question Wild Thing but it looks like you're all having to much fun. *gives Freaky a playful nudge and bright smile* ♥ Although I will give you a hint it's not perfectly square ;) and I'll keep the guessing in cms to be nice. XD

    @ Wild Thing,
Yes wood is a really beautiful medium to work with.♥ Pity the classes switched to metal work soon after. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. Thank you so much My Beloved Little Wild Thing. ♥

    @ Kuma,
he he yeah it took a while. Although I was using a bandsaw so you just keep turning the wood. ^^ Much easier than it sounds XD but I managed to make some nice curves. Even if they are a tad rough. XD ^^
Thank you so much, I'm really glad you like it.
he he actually your words bring to mind swimming with the dolphins or tales of when dolphins rescue a someone. Thanks for the lovely mental image. ^_^

Also has anyone noticed the shimmery tail yet?♥ Such a beautiful piece of wood.

Heeeee, such a mean Moon ...!
    ... Oh, really ?
Then... What about 50x40 cm ? For some reason, I'm under the impression that for a too small piece, the wood would break ...

Ha ha, the most important is that you had fun and are now proud of your own work ^^...Yup, it's indeed a beautiful wood ♥ !

(Next time, show us the hammer you forged during your next classes
...? I could make good use of it, kukuku...)

50X40cms? 10cms difference? It doesn't look like a rectangle does it? Although the picture is on an angle so it's rather tricky. Not sure about breaking but you're thinking much to big ♥ although it's not small either.

    Very true.♥ *smiles brightly* ^^
Hammer? O.o What do you need a hammer for? XD

hehe! I came in to cheat a bit (no fair I am used to work with wood...)
I'd tend to say the picture size is close to the real size, because of the wood's sties that would look a lot thicker if the work had been on a reduced scale.
(and madimb, the wood breaks if it is too thin, not too small ^^)

So my guess would inch toward 10x11cm
    winding down
