    So Uh, Um. Poetry

    Most of them are free verse but there were two most recent poetry where I had to rhyme; it was for school. The other one is a poem based on Scar's perspective HAHA no.
    Anyway, here it is.
    Also this is my first post, hence the awkward title.

    Melancholic Euphony (Don't judge my lame titles)

    The prophet plays his weeping song,
    Emptily echoing throughout the land
    Both gods and nymphs mourn so long,
    For his music grieved a lost love at Hade’s demand.

    But alack, another chance awaits
    For the prophet descended to face his fate

    Melancholy melody charmed Netherworld
    His wife was returned, however a task was given;
    “Never look back,” Death spoke; three simple words
    Yet they were the lock to the prophet’s prison.
    The prophet clambered up to greet the dancing light above,
    He looked back in relief, thus ending the life of his dove.

    Watching her disappear into the abyss,
    He laughed in despair.
    Then he fell back into the darkness in dismiss;
    None had listened to his unheard prayer.
    “It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.”

    Hello and welcome to the poetry section.

    I like the way your poem tells a story.
    It does have the essence of a "sad song", so the title is appropriate. (not lame at all)
